Direct Finance support to the SVP Nitrogen and SVP Supply Chain, which includes key financial accountability for the AN Wholesale, AG/IC, WALA, and Supply Chain business segments.

What You'll Do

As the Finance Director of Supply Chain, you will direct Finance support to the SVP Nitrogen and SVP Supply Chain, which includes key financial accountability for the AN Wholesale, AG/IC, WALA, and Supply Chain business segments. You will provide finance leadership and support for the Nitrogen and Supply chain businesses within the Americas. Other duties include:

  • Design and maintain financial KPIs, management reporting and results review meetings that provide insightful analysis of performance results, identify risks and opportunities, and drive actionable discussion
  • Work collaboratively with managers to establish aggressive budgets around costs, production, sales volumes and pricing, capital investment, and optimization of the Nitrogen product line.
  • Coordinate and provide structure for the monthly, quarterly, and annual earnings results reporting, budget development and forecast outlook updates.
  • Ability to build collaborative cross-functional working relationships, influence, and gain acceptance of ideas from senior executives
  • Professional interpersonal and communication skills supporting regular interaction and communication with senior executives and submissions to the Board.
  • Provide strategic guidance, analysis, and governance
  • Work collaboratively with business partners in the development of overall Nitrogen strategy including:
    • Identification of target product markets, distribution footprint and opportunities
    • Optimization of Nitrogen products between Explosives and Ag/IC product lines
    • Analysis supporting strategic growth, asset rationalization, and company sustainability objectives
    • Financial support and guidance for strategic business case development
  • Define and develop a strong finance team responsible for providing analytical support and localized finance business partner support for the Nitrogen and Supply Chain functions.
  • Guide development and implementation of standardized processes and reporting across the Nitrogen business, supporting consistent messaging and financial support across multiple sites.
  • Encourage employee development through projects or experiences that result in continuous improvement, automation, technology utilization, and new process development

What We're Looking For:

  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance with additional certification or experience (CPA, CMA, MBA) required

  • 10+ years of experience in Finance / Accounting field with at least 5 years in a leadership role and experience in related industries (Mining, Explosives, Chemicals, Agriculture).
  • Progressively increasing responsibility for division P&L results, strategy development, risk evaluation and management, capital expenditure governance and management

  • Capable of working in a highly matrixed organization with the ability to collaboratively develop and communicate complex business cases and financial models across multiple areas of the business.

  • Advanced technical and analytical skills to evaluate and understand financial results, identify key performance drivers, and understand complex inter-relationships across the North America business.

  • Ability to motivate a geographically dispersed team of manager level direct reports to accomplish company goals
