The Shipping Clerk is responsible for assisting in the planning production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company's productive capacity. The Production Coordinator will support our MBCI division at the Salt Lake City, UT site.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts on order releases action and exception messages from the company system
  • Assists with managing production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company's productive capacity
  • Manages inventory levels, schedules and availability of selected item, either manufactured or purchased, to meet production schedules. Completes shipping information and delivery date input during sale order reviews
  • Answer termination or cancellation requests from sales
  • Receives and reviews sales orders against current requirements and work in process using the material requirement planning report
  • Releases purchase orders for production material, floor stock items and all purchases to support the business unit
  • Interfaces with manufacturing personnel, the purchasing department and supervisors on material status and production planning issues
  • Level load work load for assigned line in order scheduler calendar(Excel) to capacity for assigned line
  • Plan, schedule, create job packet and run list for the daily runs for the assigned line
  • Verify coil availability for daily runs prior to giving job packet to line lead
  • Verify special part details(Trim, Zee line)
  • Communicate with sales teams regarding any issues with orders, details, etc.
  • Communicate daily with team lead of the assigned line concerning machine issues, changes to plan, etc.
  • Other assigned tasks as needed to complete scheduling needs
Qualifications
  • Process & Plant Knowledge
  • Strong IT and reporting skills
  • Strong Microsoft experience
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to organize multiple operations simotaniously
  • Work well in a close team
  • Be able to communicate effectively with production leaders
