Psychiatrist Opportunity - Residential Treatment Center

Provo Canyon School, with locations in Provo and Springville, Utah, is a 24/7 secure behavioral health treatment center for adolescents aged 13 through 17. We coach, teach and mentor students who have psychiatric disorders. Job Status: Full Time Salaried Exempt Monday - Friday w/weekend on-call requirements

Your role & responsibilities include:

  • Oversee psychiatric functions of the school as assigned
  • Review and approve admissions to the program.
  • Provide consultation for adolescent psychiatric population
  • Provide psychopharmacological therapy for adolescents
  • Regulary evaluate patients who are prescribed psychotropic medications
  • Conduct individual adolescent and family therapy

Qualifications

Your qualifications will include:

Education: Graduate of an accredited medical school; completed residency in psychiatry, Board Certification required.

Experience: Experienced in inpatient psychiatric care, well developed skills in integrating individual treatment approaches into treatment milieu and good working relationships with other attending physicians and staff.

Licensure: Valid and current license to practice medicine in the State of UT; current narcotics numbers as issued by the State of UT and USDEA.

Additional Requirements: Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
