The Senior Accountant, AES Clean Energy, LLC ("CE") works in the fast-paced, high-growth renewable segment of the Company. The Senior Accountant ensures that the accounting records for AES Clean Energy, LLC. are properly maintained in accordance with US GAAP; provides for the timely and accurate recording of entries; and assists in managing the work of other employees.
The Senior accountant works for all CE subsidiaries, including working with the auditors on the annual audits. Builds relationships with operations personnel to develop business knowledge and to be an accounting resource for issues and in support of the various accounting deliverables.

This position will be in charge of:

  • Monitoring P2P process - process efficiencies / improvements

  • Identifing room for improvements in the overall P2P process - make suggestions based on project management capabilities.

  • Work in a daily basis with:

a. IRS process review

b. Reconciliation process escalation for AP accounts (GRIR & Trade Payables)

c. Downpayment process improvements and reporting

d. Invest Management and Fund Management Cost control follow up.

e. Improve payment process for P2P process.

  • Build a strong relationship with our Share Service Center in Argentina - work directly with them on the Accounts payable process.

  • Monitor Accounts Payable inquiries.

  • Handle check printing process.

  • Monitor P2P correspondence received at Salt Lake City office.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of related experience

  • Degree in Business AdministrationAccounting, Finance or similar career.

  • Proof accounting knowledge such as invoice processing - inquiries about accounts payable concerns from suppliers and internal customers - account reconciliation knowledge - reporting capabilities and vast experience on project management and organizational skills.

  • Be proactive and efficient to propose improvements on accounting processes and make them achievable.

  • Advanced knowledge of full-cycle P2P process

  • Must be proficient in SAP

  • Strong capabilities to develop metrics - KPIs - Organizational skills.

  • Focus not only on the market but also on internal customers.

  • Agility to take actions and problem solving focused.

  • Be able to work in a collaborative team environment

  • Be able to express ideas clearly that goes with the team vision.
