What you'll do

Will liaise between the Sales, Accounting, Fulfillment and Vendor Relations teams to facilitate retail customer account reconciliation for invoice deductions (e.g., penalties and fines, chargebacks, audits, and sales related advertised events, etc.)

The primary goal is to ensure retail customer and e-commerce accounts are reviewed and reconciled on a regular basis. This person will assist with the processing of accounts to ensure retail customer accounts and e-commerce accounts are free of unresolved penalties and fines.

Job Aspects:

  • Use retail and e-commerce customer portals to investigate invoice deduction reasons
  • Collect sufficient documents internally and externally to be able to successfully dispute invoice deductions
  • Data management and analysis in CRM and other internal systems
  • Ensure data integrity, run reports and maintain spreadsheets
  • Build and maintain a proactive working relationship with internal and external team members and partners. Work to reach goals with Accounts Receivable team
  • Work closely with Vendor Relations, Fulfillment, Transportation and Accounting to prioritize, track and close disputes in an efficient manner
  • Provide regular updates and feedback and facilitate monthly discussions regarding obstacles/ findings/ insights with Management
  • Work with finance to ensure receivables are closed only after corresponding disputed matters have been resolved
  • Follow through deduction process until closed
  • Help improve and streamline dispute process and automate processes where possible
  • Identify challenging trends and solutions
  • Other duties as needed

  • Able to extract pertinent data from ERP system or other sources to support above duties, comfortable working with large data sets

  • Capable of performing other duties as assigned by Management
  • Highly organized and detail oriented

You have...

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Finance OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles including balance sheet and GL.
  • Unwavering determination and persistence to solve issues and improve processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and maintain high ethical standards of integrity and quality.
  • An understanding of how freight and logistics works.
  • Ability to have an innovative and dynamic approach to work.
  • Excel experience.
  • SAP experience is preferred.
