We are currently looking for aDirector of Technology Risk and Governance to join the Enterprise Technology and Operations Risk Management Team.

The Enterprise Technology and Operations Risk Management Team is responsible for implementing risk management processes that comply with the company's risk framework, regulatory requirements and business needs. We partner with process owners to identify and measure risk, and create solutions that protect our customers, the bank and the communities in which we operate.We are committed to the continual excellence of our teammates and our company. TheDirector of Technology Risk and Governancewill have the opportunity to:

    • Inspire, coach, and develop direct reports to high levels of performance while promoting a culture using the strengths of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
    • Evolve the current (first line of defense) enterprise-wide technology risk management program to be a highly integrated yet objective function supporting technology and cyber strategies.
    • Partner with technology leadership to support the execution of technology RCSA activities including monitoring the overall risk profile of technology, evaluating risk trends and identifying systemic issues through root cause analysis.
    • Promote organizational resiliency by identifying and mitigating threats through risk-based consultation, advice, and direction for implementation of our policies, standards, control design and control implementation.
    • Interact strategically with executive leadership to provide risk management guidance, and proactively provide tactical recommendations to resolve enterprise level threats.
    • Collaborate with second line of defense (Enterprise Risk Management, Technology Risk Oversight, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), Compliance, etc.) and third line of defense on observations and opportunities.
    • Direct the development of tools, guidelines, and playbooks for operational control activities, including controls self-assessments, remediation plans, key metrics, and Key Risk Indicators (KRI).
    • Continuously evaluate technology and cybersecurity control design to ensure effectiveness and compliance to policies and standards.
    • Drive technology and operations risk issue management practices including facilitating overall trend analysis, status updates, and reporting.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

    • Proficient knowledge of multiple technology domains and related governance practices, in areas such as NIST, COBIT, ITIL, FFIEC, Scaled Agile, and COSO.
    • Expert knowledge of risk assessment, control design, threat scenario analysis, and control monitoring (including KRIs and control testing).
    • Expert ability to discern technology risks and succinctly communicate impact to senior and executive management.
    • Demonstrated strengths in managing relationships across an enterprise with an ability to positively influence outcomes.
    • 10+ years of technology risk management, regulatory, or IT audit experience supporting a large organization, with preferred experience from a Financial Institution.
    • 4+ years of experience working in financial services or related regulatory agencies, preferred.
    • 5+ years of personnel management experience including hiring, performance management, coaching, and development, preferred.
    • Understanding of the regulatory requirements as applicable to cloud technologies
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
    • Relevant IT, Audit, Security, or Risk Management certification (CDPSE, CDMP, CISSP, CISM and CISA) a plus.

Pay Range:

$180K - $240K (Based upon relatable skills/experience)

Location:

This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of four days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.

The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah. Located on the former Sharon Steel Mill superfund site, the sustainably built campus is the company's primary technology and operations center.
