Overview

The Sr. Quality Analyst manually tests the functionalities of the features delivered in the Application developed using Oracle Database (PL/SQL and SQL), Rest services, web applications, and related software in the Payment Policy Management platform to ensure standards are met by reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documentation, identifying risks to system functionality, creating test plans, and executing test cases. You will be part of the team helping build and deliver software using SAFe practices, focusing on one or more specific initiatives with the team. As this team works primarily on the East Coast, we prefer a candidate who is amenable to Central or East Coast time zone.

Responsibilities
    Ensure that developed software meets the requirements (various scenarios) and does not have bugs.
  • Writes and maintains test cases in Jira (X-ray) and creates presentable test cases for the product managers.
  • Develops, publishes, and implements test plans.
  • Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities, escaped defects, and open defect counts.
  • Work closely with the software development team (Technical Product Owners, Developers, Scrum Masters, Architects, and Delivery Managers) to ensure timely and effective testing efforts are completed within the sprint.
  • Conduct manual regression testing of applications on a scheduled basis to ensure product integrity.
  • Provide post-release support related to defect analysis, scalability, and applications workflow.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum teams to understand and influence software requirements, build effective test plans, and improve end-product usability.
  • Communicate with management and the development team regarding test objectives, requirements, and results.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum seven years of significant Quality Assurance background, including functional, integration, and regression testing.
  • Significant experience with Oracle SQL and an understanding of PL/SQL is necessary.
  • HealthCare experience is required. Experience in Medical Claims processing is preferred.
  • Experience with industry-leading Quality Assurance related tools.
  • Significant experience testing Database applications, web services, and web applications.
  • Experience testing in Linux environments.
  • Scrum Agile development or Scaled Agile Framework, Jira experience desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Proven excellence in solving complex problems related to software testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Base compensation ranges from $93,000 to $130,000. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
