Job Description

The Senior Program Manager for the Rare Disease Translational Center will be based in Bar Harbor, Maine and plays a pivotal role in overseeing and directing strategic initiatives, program development, and collaboration across diverse projects within the Jackson Laboratories (JAX). This position involves spearheading multifaceted programs, fostering relationships, and contributing to the advancement of JAX's objectives. The incumbent will demonstrate a capacity for handling intricate stakeholder interactions with professionalism, discretion, and a focus on achieving overarching organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the conceptualization, refinement, and expansion of programs/initiatives, assessing their impact and scalability within the organization.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships, both internally and externally, fostering collaborative efforts for program success.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to identify and propose solutions by leveraging data analysis, aiming to enhance services or products in line with organizational objectives.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and execution of specialized workflows tailored to specific program needs, ensuring seamless operations and measurable outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to teams, offering expertise and support to ensure effective workflow improvements and team development.
  • Represent JAX at relevant industry events, strategic meetings, and forums, playing a moderating role and contributing to discussions.
  • Oversee the creation of resources, including but not limited to materials directed towards stakeholders or the public, supporting the dissemination of program-related information.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to cultivate and sustain meaningful relationships both within and outside the organization.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills necessary for engaging and collaborating with diverse individuals, encompassing various cultures, disciplines, and levels of expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and successfully implementing programs/initiatives, showcasing strategic decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong leadership acumen, showcasing the ability to nurture staff development and achieve strategic objectives effectively.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required, up to [Percentage] of the time, based on organizational needs.

Minimum Education Required: Master's degree

Preferred Education: Doctorate degree

Minimum Experience Required: 4 years

Preferred Experience: 6 years

Pay Range: $103,942 - $166,307
